Zelenskyy: There will be no elections during the war

There will be no elections in Ukraine during a full-scale war. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a video address on November 6.
– “Now, in wartime, when there are many challenges, it is absolutely irresponsible to introduce the topic of elections into society so lightly and playfully. I believe that elections are not the right time,” the head of state said.
In his opinion, if we need to put an end to the political dispute and continue to work only in unity, the state has structures that are able to provide society with all the necessary answers so that there is no room for conflicts and someone else’s game against Ukraine.
– Everyone should now think about protecting our country. We need to come together, not to be divided, not to fall apart into disputes or other priorities. The situation is the same as it was before: if there is no victory, there will be no country. Our victory is possible. It will happen if we all focus on it. Not on politicking or searching for some personal interest. Not on disputes that will do nothing for the country and defense, our movement forward,” the President said.
The Head of State emphasized that it is necessary to decide that now is the time of defense and battle, on which the fate of the state and people depends, and not the time of fakes that only Russia expects from Ukraine.
