Additional NASAMS systems from partners were put on combat duty
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a daily conference call, during which he received reports on the arrival of ammunition and equipment over the past day.
He announced this in the Telegram messenger on Tuesday, November 7.
– Received reports on the receipt of ammunition and equipment for the last day. Additional NASAMS systems from partners were put on combat duty. Timely reinforcement of our air defense before winter, – the head of state wrote.
Zelenskуy said that he received a summary of the situation at the front: combat operations in the Kupyansk, Bakhmut, Avdiiv directions and in the South.
In addition, they heard intelligence data on the situation in the temporarily occupied territories, in the Black Sea region and in the CSTO countries. The Security Service reported on its counterintelligence measures.
The day before, the spokesman of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Yuriy Ignat said that Ukraine received the entire promised list of air defenses from the Western allies, but this is not enough.
According to him, Ukraine needs much more air defense systems, such as Patriot, Samp/T, IRIS-T, or NASAMS. In addition, Ukraine hopes for joint production of air defense systems.
