As the Russian Black Sea Fleet ships moved to the ports of Novorossiysk, it became more difficult to deliver cruise missiles, so Russia stopped launching Kalibr missiles from Ukraine.

Not only are there problems with logistics, but the port is not adapted for such purposes. Russians are not increasing production of missiles and Shaheds.

Oleksandr Kovalenko, a military and political observer of the Information Resistance group, told this on the air of the national telethon of the United News.

Why do the occupiers accumulate missiles?

He noted that the enemy is currently amassing weapons to launch massive strikes on the territory of Ukraine in the cold season.

The drones are designed to deplete our air defense system and expose its location, and the missiles are designed to disrupt our critical infrastructure.

– Their use (of kamikaze drones – Ed.) indicates that the Russians are stockpiling cruise missiles. They are preparing them specifically for the winter period, because the warhead of a cruise missile weighing 300-350 kg is a much more powerful weapon than the Shahed. Therefore, they can and will be used as a supplementary element in breaking through air defense, to deplete air defense. But they need a large number to have a guaranteed result, and the Shaheds will serve as the first wave,” he said.

Attacks with calibers

In the summer, the occupiers used Kalibr cruise missiles to attack Ukraine’s port infrastructure and grain storage facilities.

However, for a long time now, the Russians have been shelling Ukrainian cities only with kamikaze drones.
