Russia is trying to detect Ukrainian air defense to lay new attack routes – Humeniuk

Russian troops are trying to test Ukrainian air defense and lay routes for new missile attacks.
This was stated by Natalia Humeniuk, head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Ukrainian Defense Forces South, on the air of the United News telethon.
According to her, the overall situation in the south remains quite tense, the enemy is looking for ways to counteract the efforts of Ukrainian defenders. In addition, the Russians are trying to increase their effectiveness in other areas to divert the attention of the Defense Forces.
Gumenyuk noted that yesterday Russia fired an X-59 missile at Mykolaiv region, and it is likely that this is a battlefield reconnaissance and an attempt to test the readiness of air defense systems.
– The general pause that the enemy maintains between massive missile attacks is already quite powerful and balanced, and this may indicate preparations for the next attacks. But even in these intervals, such targeted attacks are a sign of enemy terrorism. They use missile strikes in different directions, detecting air defense systems and trying to lay future attack routes,” she emphasized.
The representative of the Southern Command added that the occupiers have realized the high probability of losses of Russian aircraft in the Kherson direction.
Now, entering from the Black and Azov Seas, they are trying to measure the line that is more or less acceptable to them.
Earlier, analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces advanced near Avdiivka, where positional fighting continues.
