Over 4,000 people evacuated in Kharkiv region in two days – Regional Military Administration

More than 4,000 people have been evacuated from their homes in Kharkiv region in the two days since Russian troops intensified their offensive.

According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, a total of 4,073 people have been evacuated.
Among them are 1,377 local residents from Chuhuiv district, 2,097 people from Kharkiv district, and 29 people from Bohodukhiv district. Another 570 people were evacuated by volunteers.
According to Oleg Sinegubov, all evacuees are provided with support in accordance with the roadmap developed in 2022.
In particular, all people in need of accommodation are provided with temporary accommodation. However, 70% of evacuees do not have a place to stay, mostly staying with relatives and friends.
At the same time, almost 900 more places for evacuees have been set up in Kharkiv region. This number will be increased if necessary.
There are no problems with evacuating and moving civilians towards Staryi Saltov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration emphasises. If the pace of evacuation increases, additional trains will be able to be sent to certain destinations in agreement with Ukrzaliznytsia.
