We can’t constantly fight with Russia, we need security guarantees – Zelenskyy

Ukraine is ready to join NATO at least tomorrow if it is offered to do so. But, unfortunately, this still has not happened and will not happen. Therefore, Ukraine will build security guarantees that can protect us.

This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with Ukrainian journalists.

– We will build a state that is able to defend itself. We cannot fight Russia on our territory all the time. We need security guarantees. The security union is important for us, – the president noted.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy added that another point discussed by the Ukrainian and Russian delegations during the talks was Crimea. Negotiations did not reach the Donbas, since the Russian Federation has its own vision on this issue, and Ukraine has its own.

– I think we will not be able to agree on all points at once. It is impossible. And if the parties want to end the war, and the parties here are not only Ukraine and Russia, but also our Western partners, then everyone must work on it, – summed up Zelenskyy.
