New sanctions against Russia should block the nuclear industry – Zelenskyy
New sanctions against the aggressor country of the Russian Federation should be aimed at blocking the nuclear industry. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is convinced of this.
According to the head of state, every day that the Russian contingent stays on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and in neighboring areas, so increases the radiation threat to Europe, which was not the case even during the peak moments of confrontation in the times of the Cold War.
– Ukrainian diplomats and representatives of partner states will do everything to ensure that new sanctions against Russia necessarily block the Russian nuclear industry, Zelenskyy believes.
The President noted that absolutely all officials of the terrorist state should answer in the international court.
– Every Russian soldier who either shoots at the station or shoots under cover of the station must understand that he is becoming a particular target for our intelligence and special services, for our army, – stressed the President of Ukraine.
Fierce fighting continues in Donbas, Zelenskyy noted. The hottest points of the front in this direction remain unchanged – Avdiyivka, Maryinka, Pisky, Bakhmut, and the entire relevant direction. Russia sent a simply colossal amount of its military resources there.
– Kharkiv region – Ukrainian defense is strong, therefore the invaders’ attempts to attack constantly fail. The struggle in the South of Ukraine gives good news about the destruction of the forces and means of the Russian army. We do not lose a single day – we reduce the potential of the occupiers.
According to the President, the grain export initiative is giving good results. Since the beginning of its implementation, a total of 16 ships with grain for seven countries on three continents – Europe, Asia, and Africa – have left Ukrainian ports. Almost half a million tons of agricultural products are on board: corn, wheat, sunflower oil, soybeans, and other goods needed by the world market, Zelenskyy said.
