In a few weeks or months: Podoliak is convinced that Ukraine will receive Patriot, Abrams and Leopard tanks
Ukraine will very quickly receive from Western partners all the necessary range of weapons to liberate its territories. In particular, we are talking about Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, Abrams and Leopard tanks.
Such an opinion was expressed in an interview with one of the Ukrainian TV channels by Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podoliak.
– Believe me, very soon we will get Patriot, Abrams, Leopards and everything else. This is an objective development of this war. It will objectively be all on our territory in two weeks, a month, two months, – Podoliak is convinced.
He added that our state will receive these weapons in the required volume, including missiles of the required ranges and “with shells of certain calibers”.
Podoliak also announced “very positive results” in providing Ukraine with missile defense systems, but did not disclose details. According to him, this should be done by the Ministry of Defense or the President.
– I think that we will increase the ability to protect our sky now. We have to work out the next month and a half very powerfully in terms of the right to defend ourselves through the protection of the energy system, – said the adviser to the head of the Presidential Administration.
Podoliak drew attention to the fact that Western partner countries do not immediately decide on the provision of certain types of weapons. However, they have already realized “what the Russian Federation is” and that it is impossible to adhere to the tactics that were observed at the beginning of the war in Ukraine in 2014.
– Look at the logic of what our partners are doing. It is difficult for them to make certain decisions immediately. But nevertheless, they have changed the ideology of war. They clearly understand what type of war is going on, what Russia is and why we should not play the “game of 2014″ anymore,” said Podoliak.
He stressed that Ukraine’s partners really believe that our country must win, and also begin to realize that Kyiv will not compromise with Russia.
Against this background, there is an understanding that Ukraine should gradually transfer all the necessary weapons, which the West is doing.
– They practically believe that we will not give up our cause to expel Russia from all our territories. And it is impossible to agree with us that “maybe you will sign something with them somewhere in the middle”. They already practically believe in it,” Podoliak said.
He reminded that at the beginning of the full-scale war Ukraine received almost nothing, later some weapons were delivered. And today our state has almost everything that it asked for from its partners, “the most important types of weapons”.
– In particular, except for the same Patriot, but we will also have them, as well as other air defense and missile defense systems. These other systems will already be there. And Patriot will be a little later, – informed Podolyak, adding that partner countries should still accelerate in this matter.
According to the adviser to the head of the Presidential Administration, “there is a certain logic in providing Ukraine with weapons”, and for Europe our country today “stands as a key opponent of the Russian Federation”.
