Danilov does not rule out Russian offensive attempts in the Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions

Олексій Данілов

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, does not rule out a new offensive by Russian troops in the Kharkiv region, from where they were knocked out by the Ukrainian Armed Forces last summer, as well as in the Zaporizhzhia region. He stated this in an interview with Reuters.

– Attempts to attack in the Kharkiv or Zaporizhzhia directions will, of course, occur. How successful they will be will depend on us, – he emphasized.

According to him, Russia has also not given up on its plans to completely seize Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and will try to achieve tangible results by the anniversary of its full-scale invasion on February 24.

And Danilov considers the attempts of the Russian Federation to re-attack Belarus doubtful, because “there are clearly not enough forces there.”
