It’s a war crime: Romanian Foreign Minister condemns Russian strikes on Ukrainian ports

Romanian Foreign Minister Luminica Odobescu called Russia’s regular air strikes on ports in southern Ukraine war crimes.
– “Russian attacks against civilian infrastructure, in particular ports on the Danube, very close to Romania’s border, are war crimes… What Russia is doing near our border undermines the Ukrainian economy, food security, including at the global level, and civilian navigation in the Black Sea,” she said at a briefing in Kyiv before a meeting of EU foreign ministers.
She noted that Romania itself is partially affected by these attacks, as some ports are located near its borders on the other side of the Danube, and drone wreckage has been found there more than once.
Odobescu assured that Romania will continue to help Ukraine with grain transit, and it is planned to increase the transportation of agricultural products from 2 to 3-4 million tons by the end of the year.
– “I am convinced that today’s discussions will result in a very strong signal of support for Ukraine and its people,” she summarized.
On the night of October 2, the Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with seven Shahed attack UAVs. Air defense forces destroyed four drones.
