The occupiers opened fire on peaceful protesters in Kherson, there are victims
The russian occupiers opened fire on civilians who went out to rally against the occupation on March 21.
The relevant video appeared on social networks.
The footage shows Ukrainian protesters on Freedom Square in Kherson, where Russian soldiers are marching in a line from the side of the Kherson Regional State Administration. Protesters came out to meet the occupiers, continuing to shout “Go home!”.
After that, an object resembling a grenade, flew into the crowd of protesters from the side of russian occupiers. In the video, you can see how this grenade rolls along the ground, and the Kherson residents make way in front of an explosive object. Then an explosion occurs.
Immediately after the explosion, protesters began to flee in the opposite direction from the russian military. The occupiers opened fire on the backs of unarmed Kherson citizens.
Information about the wounded is already coming from local media reports. Photographs show blood stains on the pavement where the protesters were standing.
First Deputy Chairman – head of the Executive Office of the Kherson Regional Council Yuri Sobolevsky said that the russian military used flash-bang grenades against peaceful Ukrainians. At the same time, he said that there were victims.
– They tried to disperse the peaceful rally in Kherson by force today. Cannonade in the air, gas, flash-bang grenades. At least one person was kidnapped by orcs, there are victims. The most difficult case – the pensioner’s leg was badly damaged, he lost a lot of blood. The victim was immediately put on a tourniquet. The ambulance arrived in just a few minutes, and he was taken to hospital.
He added that, in spite of everything, the protesters did not disperse. They are going to gather again tomorrow.
This is not the first time the russian occupiers have opened fire to disperse peaceful protesters. A similar situation occurred on March 20 in Berdyansk, Energodar, and Kherson region.
