The enemy is trying to turn Chernihiv into the second Mariupol – Arestovych
During the last 24hrs, the Russian aggressor was provided with insane hell by the air forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was announced during a briefing by Oleksiy Arestovych, an Adviser to the Head of the President’s Office.
Six enemy aircraft, one helicopter, five UAVs and five cruise missiles were shot down during the day.
Thus, we have exceeded 100 enemy aircraft and now 105 enemy aircraft are considered destroyed – this is more than five air regiments or a separate air army, – Arestovych said.
He noted that for several days the Russian troops did not start hostilities at all, except for a few areas:
Enemy aircraft did not take any action at all for several days, except for the area of Allied Forces Operation and Mariupol, where the losses of the military air defense system are not so big. Later, they decided to fly over the peaceful cities of Ukraine and bomb them. Everything naturally ended in defeat for them, – the Adviser to the Head of the President’s Office said.
Arestovych added that near Mariupol our defenders killed the commander of the 810th brigade of the Black Sea Fleet with a sniper shot.
He stresses that the enemy is trying to turn Chernihiv into the second Mariupol. There is also no water, electricity and gas supply. But the heroic inhabitants and defenders hold the line. There are humanitarian and military supply corridors to the city.
