The enemy wants to turn Chernihiv into the second Mariupol – Arestovych

The 37th day of the Russian-Ukrainian war continues. And the main news is that the enemy can not launch an offensive operation to surround our forces in the JFO zone, the adviser to the head of the President’s Office Oleksiy Arestovych said.
According to the adviser, the Russian troops only make missile and artillery strikes, which may indicate their incomplete readiness for the offensive. Therefore, our forecast is cautiously optimistic, although there may still be heavy fighting.
Mariupol is still holding on. The city is given the help that can be provided in this difficult situation.
In the Kyiv direction, the enemy carries out a partial rotation with withdrawal of troops and their transfer, probably, in the zone of JFO, – Arestovych reported. – But they are not able to keep the areas they would like to keep.
Our troops are chasing the Russians, both in the northwest and in the east, pushing them away from Kyiv, making it impossible to storm the capital.
Counterattacks in the Kharkiv direction and tactical actions of our troops against the enemy’s defenses in the Kherson region also continue
And although the adviser to the head of the President’s Office speaks of optimism, we see that the enemy continues to launch missiles and air strikes on infrastructure and military enterprises and continues to destroy residential areas in Mariupol, Kharkiv, Chernihiv – the city they is trying to turn into a second Mariupol.
But I think we can manage it, – Arestovych says. – There is still a land connection with Chernihiv, thanks to which military and humanitarian aid arrives there, and residents have the opportunity to leave the city.
Separately, Arestovych noted the work of Ukrzaliznytsia, which works almost flawlessly, despite the fact that some railway workers died while performing their professional duties during the evacuation of people.
