In Kherson, the occupiers kidnap people and torture Denisova during interrogations

In the temporarily occupied Kherson, it is now dangerous to go outside – a trip to the store could end in captivity, said Ombudsman Lyudmyla Denisova.
However, according to her, staying at home also does not save from abduction, as the Russian military enters the entrances, knocks on doors and takes people out in an unknown direction.
– In case of a street check, the occupiers examine the body for tattoos, review the contents of the phone, car, things. Many do not go through this “procedure”. After that, people are taken away in an unknown direction, – said Denisova.
Referring to the stories of Kherson residents who were in captivity and escaped to the territory controlled by Ukraine, the ombudsman clarified that they were abused and tortured during interrogations.
She also stressed that there are now many reports on social networks about missing parents, children, friends, etc., who were probably abducted.
Denisova reminded that torture, abduction and killing of civilians by the Russian military are nothing but an act of terrorism and a war crime.
