Ukraine seized assets of Rosneft for UAH 23 million
The Office of the Prosecutor General has seized almost UAH 23 million from a banking institution owned by a business entity formed by Russia’s Rosneft Oil Company.
Currently, prosecutors are conducting procedural management of the pre-trial investigation under Part 4 of Article 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – the facts of financing actions committed for violent change or overthrow of the constitutional system or seizure of state power, changing the borders of the territory or state border of Ukraine. The SSU is carrying out the investigation.
– During the investigation, the circumstances of a possible illegal activity have been established – the financing of large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine by the beneficiaries of one of the economic entities located on the territory of our state and controlled by the Russian Federation, – said in the Office of the Prosecutor General.
These funds were seized to not be used against the Ukrainian people.
