Russia has created at least 20 filtration camps and prisons in the occupied territories

The occupiers have set up at least 20 filtration camps and prisons on the Russian-occupied Ukrainian territories.
Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the International Organizations in Vienna, Yevhen Tsymbaliuk, reported this during a meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council on 16 June.
– There are still many places where crimes do not stop. At least 20 filtration camps and prisons were identified in the occupied territories, – he said.
Tsymbaliuk reminded of the “Isolation” prison in occupied Donetsk.
– We are well aware of the horrors that are happening there. That is why we must prevent Russia from creating similar prisons throughout Ukraine, – he added.
In addition, the Ukrainian Representative emphasized that Russia is trying to turn Donetsk and Luhansk regions into a territory of lawlessness with terrorist organizations created and controlled by Russia, the so-called DPR and LPR.
– No matter how the trial was imitated there, Russia is fully responsible for it. Ukraine demands proper humane treatment for Ukrainian prisoners of war from the Russian side, – said Tsymbaliuk.
The head of the Mission of Ukraine to the OSCE also told about cases of torture, gender-based violence, and kidnappings, which became part of Russia’s policy of breaking the will of the inhabitants of the occupied territories of Ukraine.
Referring to the words of human rights activists, he said that the leaders in the number of abductions by the Russian troops in Ukraine are the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Earlier it was reported that the aggressor country Russia behaves cruelly toward Ukrainian defenders who are in temporary captivity. The occupiers took most of our military men as prisoners near Mariupol.
