Ukraine is the only thing we have: in Mykolayiv region Zelenskyy awarded our defenders
The President of Ukraine visited the leading positions of the Armed Forces in the Mykolayiv region and presented our defenders with state awards. In particular, Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented the Order of the Golden Star and awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine to Colonel Vadym Sukharevsky.
According to the President’s Office, Colonel Vadim Sukharevsky, commander of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Southern Land Forces Operational Command, is repelling Russian armed aggression after a full-scale Russian military invasion on February 24.
Under his command, brigade units successfully perform combat missions in the Mykolayiv and Kherson regions, inflicting significant losses on Russian troops.
– I want to thank you for your great service! For defending our state, each of us, our families, defending our sovereignty. I want to wish you all the best. Take care of Ukraine – the only thing we have. And take care of yourself – only you can do it, – the head of state emphasized.
Zelenskyy learned information about the operational situation on the battlefield and talked to Ukrainian defenders.
