The Armed Forces withdrew from their positions in Lysychansk after heavy fighting – General Staff
The armed forces of Ukraine were forced to withdraw from their occupied positions and boundaries in Lysychansk after heavy battles with Russian troops.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the command made a decision to withdraw Ukrainian defenders in order to preserve the lives of our soldiers.

In the conditions of the multiple superiority of the Russian occupying forces in artillery, aviation, rocket salvo systems, ammunition and personnel, the continuation of the city’s defense would lead to fatal consequences, the General Staff of the Armed Forces emphasized.
The General Staff said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue the fight, will definitely return and defeat the Russian invaders.
