The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on women’s voluntary military registration: details

The Verkhovna Rada supported the draft law on the voluntary registration of women in the military. However, there is one exception: registration will be mandatory for women doctors.

Deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko reported this in his Telegram.

– Women who have a specialty and/or profession related to the corresponding military accounting specialty specified in the list approved by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, and who are suitable for military service due to their health and age, may be taken into military service at their own request accounting of conscripts, it is written the document.

At the same time, women who have a specialty and/or a profession related to medical activity must be included in the list of conscripts.

Previously, the Ministry of Defense postponed the military registration of women until October 1, 2023.

The ministry also stated that there will be no restrictions on crossing the border for women.
