In the coming weeks we expect good news on air defense and anti-missile defense for Ukraine – Zelenskyy
In the coming weeks, there may be good news regarding air and anti-missile defense systems for Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in an evening video address on November 5.
– We have also thoroughly analyzed everything concerning supplies to the defense forces. This is equipment, ammunition, bundles, and winter things. Separately considered countering missile and drone terror – there are already quite significant results in this, the percentage of damage has become more, but there is still work to do. We must ensure the full protection of the Ukrainian sky, so in the future, we will do everything possible and impossible, – assures the head of state.
Zelenskyy held today a regular meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, which lasted about three hours.
– The situation on the front line – in all directions, on the energy front, and the borders – was analyzed in great detail. The Commander-in-Chief, commanders, the head of intelligence, the prime minister, the minister of defense, and the head of the border guards reported. We know what the enemy is preparing for. We will respond and continue to liberate our land,” says the President.
The head of state noted that today there were reports from official representatives from Iran. The country officially admitted that it had supplied drones to Russian terror, but allegedly before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian army.
– But they lied about this admission as well. We shoot down at least 10 Iranian drones every day, and the Iranian regime claims that it allegedly gave some even before the full-scale invasion. Eleven Shahed-136 were destroyed in one day yesterday alone. We know that Iranian instructors taught Russian terrorists how to use drones, but Tehran is silent about this,” the President pointed out.
The biggest brutality of Russian occupiers is concentrated in Donbas. But constant fighting also continues in other parts of the front – it is more than a thousand kilometers of battle lines, Zelenskyy stressed.
The President cited the example of the grain agreement, in which the world managed to resist Russian blackmail. In his opinion, the world must act decisively; then, the occupiers will have no chance.
– It is on the example of the export grain initiative that we have shown that the world can guarantee stability, despite any threats posed by Russia. The world did not succumb to Russian blackmail, the key actors acted decisively, and as a result, an exacerbation of the food crisis was avoided. This is one of the most significant international results of the entire fall. When the world is united, terrorists have no chance,” says the Ukrainian President.
According to Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian government will launch another fundraising effort to raise money for a fleet of sea drones next week.
