When will it be safe to return to Kherson and region: explanation of the National Police
There is still a great danger in Kherson and the region due to mines, explosives and artillery shells left by the Russian military.
At the same time, there are still problems with energy supply, communication and water supply in the region. Therefore, the residents of Kherson region should return home only after the relevant announcement of the emergency situation.
This was stated by Oleksiy Sergeev, Head of the Department of Organizational and Analytical Support and Operational Response of the National Police of Ukraine, at an online briefing on November 17.
– We recommend to start returning, in particular, to the regional center and other settlements of the Kherson region after the National Police and the State Emergency Service complete stabilization measures and demining. After the announcement by the leadership of the regional military administration, – he emphasizes.
According to him, specialists carry out demining works every day, and first of all – on important objects to ensure the vital activity of Ukrainians.
