Electricity consumption in Ukraine is growing due to business activity after the holidays – Ukrenergo
On Wednesday, January 4, electricity consumption in Ukraine is growing due to a gradual decrease in temperature and the intensification of business after the holidays.
To ensure a balance in the power system, consumption limits were brought to all regions, which are valid from 8:00 to 24:00.
NPC Ukrenergo reminded that exceeding consumption limits leads to the application of emergency restrictions.
– In the frontline regions in the East of the country, power distribution network facilities came under Russian shelling. Repairs and restoration of power supply will be carried out immediately after receiving the relevant permits from the military, – the statement reads.
The company also noted that as a result of 11 missile and 14 unmanned attacks of the enemy, the damage to generation facilities and trunk networks is complex and large-scale. Restoration still requires significant resources and time.
– Ukrenergo, electricity producers and distribution system operators continue to restore the power facilities damaged by the Russians to ensure power supply to consumers and increase its reliability. Please consume electricity wisely, use energy-intensive appliances in turns,” the company urged.
