The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine plans to establish a public anti-corruption council. Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov announced this during a press conference on February 5.

– We will form a working group of anti-corruption activists to create a public anti-corruption council at the Ministry of Defence, – he said.

According to the head of the Ministry of Defence, there were written responses from the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, including instructions and requests to conduct in-service inspections of employees of the Anti-Corruption Department of the Ministry of Defence.

– We have done this. However, today it needs to be completely rebooted. I met with NGOs, activists involved in anti-corruption activities, and whistleblower journalists. I addressed them with proposals: if they know someone from their environment or are ready to delegate people who are ready to come to work in the anti-corruption department and help us in this matter, we are ready to cooperate, – Reznikov emphasized.
