The population of Kherson region may evacuate in case of mass shelling
In the Kherson region, the military administration was instructed to preemptively develop evacuation routes for local residents in the event of mass shelling by the Russian invaders.
This was announced by the head of the Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin. He noted that in recent days, the Russian Federation has intensified shelling not only of Kherson region , but also of the entire territory of Ukraine.
– Ukrainians, families, children are dying… I cannot allow the people of Kherson to suffer. That’s why I gave the order to work out ways to evacuate the civilian population in advance in the event of mass shelling of the region, – the head of the Regional Military Administration said in a video message.
He said that the military administration has determined safe routes for the departure of motor vehicles from populated areas, places of temporary residence for people, providing them with medicine, food and everything necessary.
At the same time, they are creating lists of people with limited mobility who cannot get to the meeting place on their own, as well as large families who live near the contact line.
Prokudin noted that this order was handed over to the heads of all district administrations, and evacuation will be implemented if necessary.
