Artillery sweat preserves infantry blood: how Ukrainian troops are burning out the occupiers near Bakhmut
The occupiers continue to try to take Bakhmut, even though they are exhausted and have lost much of their manpower.
In parallel with infantry assaults, they are shelling the city itself. But our guns are not silent either.
The closer we get to the front line, the more often we see terrible scenes on the horizon.
The Donetsk land is burning and exploding from enemy shelling. Russians are turning the Ukrainian town of Bakhmut into a continuous ash pit.
Shrouded in thick smoke, the city is fighting street battles. But the enemy is not allowed to capture Bakhmut. Artillerymen are destroying the Russians on the approach.
Artillery dueling in the Bakhmut sector is virtually unabated. Both the enemy’s self-propelled artillery systems and ours are working.
In minutes, the soldiers fired four 122-mm shells at the enemy.
Some hit and destroy the enemy mortar crew, others – the occupiers’ manpower. The National Guardsmen are satisfied with their work.
– The feelings are very positive, I can tell you. Because knowing the occupiers, what they are doing, and what they did when they entered Kyiv. And what they did to our Ukrainians, as they say, – says Ihor, a fighter with the Rubizh Brigade of the National Guard.
The guys went through a year of war side by side. First, they defended the Kyiv region, then went through hell near Rubizhne and Severodonetsk; they are destroying the Russians in the Bakhmut sector.
During this time, they have honed their skills, but the enemy has also drawn its conclusions.
– Although they say they have very few BCs, their art wakes up as soon as it gets dark. I don’t know if they get any bookies, though. And they start to fight back, – added Guru, a fighter with the Rubizh Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine.
Although the Russians outnumber the Ukrainians in manpower and shells, Ukrainian soldiers are making titanic efforts to prevent the invasion from continuing.
They are shooting at the occupiers point by point. Each shell must hit its target.
The Rubizh rapid response brigade is not only holding the line on the outskirts of Bakhmut but is also preparing to liberate the territories.
The brigade accepts volunteers ready to be trained according to NATO standards of military excellence and then de-occupy Ukrainian lands.
