”Birds” save lives – the Armed Forces need to raise 200 thousand for new drones
A story about Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance men. Soldiers of the 24th Brigade are defending our positions on the outskirts of the temporarily occupied Horlivka.
Although this area is not as hot as, for example, Bakhmut, the enemy systematically conducts assault operations here – trying to break through the defense.
The soldiers’ positions can be reached through fields and broken roads. The enemy closely monitors all the streets here and along the entire front line and periodically shoots at them.
Our soldiers are keeping a close eye on the occupiers at their positions.
Flying drones in the East is a real lottery nowadays. To remain undetected, the Russians are constantly jamming the signal in all possible ways.
– The enemy also uses electronic warfare equipment, anti-drone guns, and other devices. We are suffering heavy losses, and we are trying to collect these copters, – said Mykyta, a soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
With the help of their “birds,” the army leads assault operations. One of them took place a few weeks ago.
– We accompanied our assault group, repelling one of the enemy’s frontline positions. We attended the assault group itself and also adjusted the artillery. In general, there were no losses for our side. And, accordingly, with maximum losses for our enemy,” said Roman, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Drones help not only to destroy the invaders effectively but also to save the lives of our defenders.
– I remember a story from the outskirts of Bakhmut. We flew a drone and noticed our group being bypassed from the right. The group could not physically see it, but we saw it from above. We managed to save the lives of 4 personnel,” added Roman, a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
These soldiers desperately need drop systems to continue defeating the enemy. They often help to save time and strike without waiting for artillery fire.
And also another vehicle. Because the ones they have are not in perfect condition, to put it mildly, and require constant repairs.
