They suffocated from lack of oxygen: the grave of a family with two children was found in Izium

In Izium in the Kharkiv region, after the exhumation of bodies at the scene of a mass grave began, new horrifying facts about the crimes of the Russian army are being revealed.
One of them is the murder of the Stolpakov family: 31-year-old Olena, 33-year-old Dmytro, their common 5-year-old daughter Olesya and the girl’s 8-year-old sister Oleksandra. For the older child, Dmytro was a stepfather – the girl had a different last name, so her grave became known later.
This was reported by Daria Herasymchuk, Adviser to the President of Ukraine on the Rights of the Child and Children’s Rehabilitation. According to her, the family died as a result of the bombing of an apartment house in Izyum on Pervomayskaya Street.
– The Russians dropped an air bomb on the house and hit it with a tank until it finally collapsed. Journalists were told about this by neighbors. At least 44 people died under the rubble, – said Herasymchuk.
Later it became known that the children’s grandparents (Olena’s parents) perished together with the family. The house had remained under Russian army shelling for a long time, so it was impossible to save the civilians. According to rumors, the family members did not die immediately but suffocated from a lack of oxygen under the rubble.
