In the South of Ukraine, our air defense destroyed 11 Iranian Shahed-136 drones
Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed nine Shahed-136 kamikaze drones in an hour last night.
This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is emphasized that within an hour, from 21:30 to 22:30 on October 16, Air Force soldiers destroyed nine kamikaze drones.
In addition, one Shahed was destroyed by units of the National Guard of Ukraine and the Territorial Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
– Another attack by Shahed-136 kamikaze drones in the south of Ukraine. And again the impeccable work of our anti-aircraft defense, in particular the anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Command South and subordinate units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, – the General Staff emphasized.
Earlier, The Washington Post, citing security officials from the United States and allied countries, reported that Iran plans to send Fateh-110 and Zolfaghar surface-to-surface ballistic missiles to Russia for the war against Ukraine.
