DNR militants “sentenced” a Moroccan and two Britons to death

Militants from the so-called DNR “sentenced” to death three foreigners.
This was reported by Russian media, including the opposition newspaper Meduza.
The DNR Supreme Court has “sentenced” two British citizens, Aiden Aslin and Shaun Pinner, to death, as well as Saadun Brahim, a Moroccan citizen.
According to British and some Russian media, these foreigners served in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is also evidenced by photos of foreigners, where they are dressed in camouflage of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
At the same time, the state bodies of Ukraine did not comment on their affiliation with the Armed Forces.
Terrorists from the “DPR” blame foreign nationals guilty of mercenary activity and actions aimed at overthrowing the “power” of the self-proclaimed militant cell.
All three foreigners can file an “appeal” within a month.
Russian media reported that Shaun Pinner and Aiden Aslin were taken prisoner in Mariupol in mid-April. At the same time, Brahim Saadun was taken prisoner in Volnovakha in March.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom Liz Trass reacted to the decision of the terrorists, condemning the massacre of British citizens.
– I strongly condemn the sentences of Aiden Aslin and Shaun Pinner, who are being held by Russian supporters in eastern Ukraine. They are prisoners of war. This is a fictitious sentence that has no legitimacy. My thoughts with families. We continue to do everything possible to support them, she wrote on her Twitter page.
Earlier, Russian propaganda launched a new wave of information warfare, when it began to talk about the death penalty for Ukrainian servicemen captured.
Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Vadym Denysenko said that this wave of information is quite dangerous for Ukraine. He also named three goals that Russia pursues when making such statements.
It will be recalled that several hundred Ukrainian servicemen were evacuated from the Azovstal metallurgical factory in Mariupol in mid-May. Defenders of the city of Azov were taken to the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk region.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that in the future the defenders of Mariupol will be released through an exchange procedure, and the Russian Federation has begun to make statements about the death penalty.
In particular, the chairman of the State Duma of Russia Vyacheslav Volodin declared “inadmissible” the return of prisoners of war to Ukraine, and the chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky proposed to lift the moratorium on the death penalty in order to crack down on prisoners of war of the Azov Regiment.
After that, a spokesman for Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the issue of returning the death penalty “is not on the agenda.”
