The Pentagon does not see in the exercises of Belarus and the Russian Federation signs of Minsk’s entry into the war

The Pentagon does not see signs of Belarus joining the war against Ukraine in the joint air-tactical exercises of the Belarusian and Russian armies.
This was reported by the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
The representative of the Pentagon, Brigadier General of the US Air Force Patrick Ryder, emphasized that the United States does not see the intentions of Belarus to enter the war against Ukraine.
According to Patrick Ryder, this is an ongoing training of Belarusians and Russians, that’s all.
– As we know, Russia and Belarus are going to hold joint exercises. We do not see any signs that Belarus intends to enter the conflict, – said the press secretary of the Pentagon.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus stated that personnel, weapons, military and special equipment of the Russian armed forces will continue to arrive in the republic. Further combat reconciliation activities are planned.
Joint flight and tactical exercises are planned for the period from January 16 to February 1, 2023.
In December, the self-proclaimed president of Belarus Oleksandr Lukashenko announced the inspection of the combat readiness of the country’s troops.
Earlier, experts of the Belarusian Gayun group said that on the night of January 7, a train with 15 passenger wagons passed through the Smolensk station in the direction of Belarus. Personnel of the armed forces of the Russian Federation were brought to Belarus – approximately 700-800 people.
Also, on the night of January 6, another echelon arrived in Vitebsk, which also brought about 700-800 personnel.
