Pentagon: Ukraine will face tough fight in spring and summer, US will help with ammunition
The Pentagon believes that Ukraine will face a tough fight against Russia in the spring and summer and promises to help with ammunition.
This was announced at a briefing by US Defense Department spokesman Brigadier General Pat Ryder.
According to the general, the United States is working closely with its allies to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with weapons and recognizes that a tough fight is expected, especially in the spring and summer.
He noted that Washington will work to get all the necessary ammunition to the front lines of Ukraine as quickly as possible.
– “You’ve heard Secretary Austin and others say that we have to make sure they have everything they need to succeed,” the Pentagon official said.
Ryder noted that the March 15 meeting of military aid donors in the Ramstein format will focus on urgent needs, including ammunition.
Earlier, we reported that the Pentagon wants to allocate $170 billion for the new fiscal year to replace the ammunition that is being transferred to Ukraine and to order long-range weapons in the event of a military conflict with China.
