The mutiny of Wagner PMC mercenary leader Yevgeny Prigozhin demonstrates that Russia made a strategic mistake by waging war against Ukraine.

This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Reuters reports.

– “The events that took place over the weekend are an internal affair of Russia and another demonstration of the great strategic mistake that Russian President Vladimir Putin made by illegally annexing Crimea and waging war against Ukraine,” he told reporters during a visit to Lithuania.

The NATO Secretary General emphasized that it is important to continue to support Ukraine as Russia’s attack continues.

On the evening of June 23, Prigozhin said that the Russian army had attacked the rear camps of the PMC, after which the Wagnerite leader announced a justice march.

On the morning of June 24, Prigozhin said that his militants had taken control of all military facilities in Rostov, including the airfield. In the evening of the same day, it became known that the march on Moscow was over, and the Wagnerites were turning back to their “field camps.”
