Russians report UAV attack near Shaykovka airfield
Russians reported a drone attack on the afternoon of 23 August and the downing of drones near the village of Shaikovka, which is not far from a military airfield.
This was reported on Telegram by the Governor of the Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha.
– “In the afternoon, on the territory of Kirovsky district, near the village of Shaikovka, air defence forces destroyed two UAVs,” the message says.
Shapsha also claims that there were no casualties or damage to infrastructure.
As reported, on 21 August, UAVs attacked the Shaikovka airfield in Kaluga Oblast and damaged at least one Tu-22M3 aircraft.
According to Andriy Yusov, the attack was organised by special agents who carried out the task in close coordination with the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
