Over the past month, Russian drone debris has been spotted falling in Romania several times, but NATO has no evidence that this is the result of any deliberate attack by Russia on the territory of a member state.

This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at a joint press conference with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv.

– “The Russian war and reckless attacks on the border with Romania are, of course, destabilizing. And NATO has repeatedly stated that it will defend all Allies. We have significantly increased our presence in our eastern members of the Alliance, including Romania,” he explained.

In September, the wreckage of Russian drones was found three times on the banks of the Danube in Romania after the shelling of Ukrainian ports.

On September 15, Romania announced the closure of airspace in a 30-kilometer zone near the border with Ukraine and warned that it was ready to use its air defense against Russian drones.
