NATO has framework contracts for ammunition production worth €2.4 billion – Stoltenberg

NATO has signed framework contracts worth €2.4 billion for the production of ammunition. This means that NATO members can replenish their stockpiles and continue to support Ukraine.
This was announced by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg during a press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
– “NATO has been conducting joint procurement for many years. Today, I can confirm that NATO has framework contracts for major ammunition worth €2.4 billion, including firm orders for €1 billion. This covers capabilities such as 155 mm ammunition, anti-tank weapons, and ammunition for main battle tanks,” he said.
According to Stoltenberg, this will help members of the bloc replenish their stockpiles while they continue to support Ukraine.
The NATO Secretary General also emphasized that since Russia’s full-scale invasion, almost €100 billion has been allocated to Ukraine, half of which has come from the United States and the other half from European member states and Canada.
In addition, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg promised to help Ukraine strengthen its air defense.
