Russia will use more Shahed thanks to Iran’s help – Humeniuk
Russians will use more Shahed-136/131-type kamikaze drones in attacks on Ukrainian cities, thanks to Iran’s help.
Natalia Gumenyuk, a spokeswoman for the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, told the national telethon of the United News on air.
– It is obvious that the number will increase. This is not intimidation, this is objective reality and analytics. They can use a larger number of Shaheds because they (Russians – Ed.) have support from other countries, directly from Iran,” she said.
Humeniuk also reminded that the Russian Federation has begun to assemble Shahed drones on its territory, which are labeled as Geranium-2. Moreover, the occupiers boast about their production.
She noted that the Ukrainian military can withstand Russia and its drones. In particular, Ukraine has advantages in “sea combat”.
As a reminder, on the night of October 6, during an attack in Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Cherkasy and Zhytomyr regions, the air defense forces destroyed 25 Shahed-136/131 attack drones.
