There is great progress: Markarova explained whether Ukraine could soon receive an aid package from the United States

Ukraine may soon receive additional aid from the United States of America. As before, Kyiv has strong bipartisan support in the US Congress.
The corresponding statement was made by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA, Oksana Markarova, during a panel discussion at the Ukrainian House in Davos. According to her, despite the discussion, there is great progress in the discussion on the adoption of the aid package for Ukraine.
Will the US allocate a new aid package to Ukraine
The American Congress is not debating whether to help Ukraine, the ambassador stressed. She drew attention to the issue of the southern border, which is combined with the support package for Ukraine and Israel.
– We ask the allies to find a solution as soon as possible so that we can move forward and get the necessary support. We need it as early as yesterday, – says the ambassador of Ukraine to the USA.
She noted that currently the issue of not only defense support, but also budgetary support is very important for Ukraine, as it is necessary for the development of the economy and the provision of investments.
– Now you need to move to decision-making and get support translated into dollars and weapons. I really hope that we have come to the end of this process and will soon receive additional support from Ukraine, – Markarova said.
In the fall, US President Joseph Biden sent a request to the US Congress to provide aid to Ukraine in the amount of more than $61.3 billion per year and to strengthen Israel’s defense by $14 billion.
