Stoltenberg to congressmen: US support is crucial for the survival of Ukraine

On January 30, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg met with the Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson and other members of the Congress leadership.
This was reported by the press service of the Alliance.
During the meeting, Stoltenberg emphasized that a strong NATO is in the strategic interests of the United States and that thanks to the Alliance, the United States has more friends and allies than any other state.
He also stressed the importance of maintaining the strength of the union through defense investments, welcoming their increase in all member states in recent years.
– Stoltenberg thanked the USA for its support to Ukraine and emphasized that this support remains crucial for the survival of Ukraine and the stability of Europe, – the message reads.
In addition, the NATO Secretary General met with House Minority Leader Hakim Jeffries and participated in a discussion on Ukraine with several representatives of the Republican Party.
Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that Ukraine will be invited to become a full member of the Alliance “at a certain stage.”
