Russia involved in the war against Ukraine more than 300 thousand soldiers – the General Staff
Russia involved about 330,000 people in a large-scale war against Ukraine. This figure was announced during a briefing by Deputy Chief of the Main Operations Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksiy Gromov.
– To date, Russia has involved about 330,000 people in large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine. Of these, the number of groups of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the areas is up to 150 thousand servicemen, who are formed from battalion-tactical groups and other formations. Taking into account the air and sea component, the aggressor’s group of troops numbers up to 220,000 servicemen, he explained.
According to Gromov, Russia also attracted more than 80,000 troops and units of the mobilization reserve, up to 7,000 combat military systems, up to 18,000 federal service of the National Guard, and up to 8,000 private military campaigns.
At the same time, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia lost almost 33,000 troops, more than 1,400 tanks and two hundred aircraft in the war against Ukraine.
