Abroad, the armed forces are already preparing for the counteroffensive stage – Zhdanov
Training of military personnel who will carry out a counteroffensive is already taking place in Ukraine’s partner countries.
This was stated by Oleg Zhdanov during a broadcast on his YouTube channel.
He was asked whether fresh units are currently being recruited and trained for future strike-offensive groups, while the Armed Forces of Ukraine are on the frontline holding the defense and exhausting the enemy. However, the current offensive will be carried out by the currently active troops.
– Everything is already happening. You see that we have solved the issue of training new specialists for Western weapons, – he said.
He recalled how in the first months of the war, Russia tried to strike the training centers of the Armed Forces throughout Ukraine. However, today, Zhdanov emphasized, all Ukrainian specialists study outside of Ukraine.
– The supply of weapons is beginning to gain momentum, and the training of our specialists is also beginning to gain momentum. We saw the entire video in public access, how our gunners learn from the British, how they learn howitzer calculations from the Germans. That is, this issue is put to the test, – he said.
He noted that he does not know what decision the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will eventually make regarding the formation of groups for a counteroffensive.
– But the fact that they will be formed on the basis of reserves, I think that this is an indisputable issue. I have already said more than once that in order to launch a counteroffensive, we need to create a new army, – Zhdanov summarized.
Earlier, Oleg Zhdanov noted that at the stage of the counteroffensive, Ukraine can involve foreign private military companies (PMC), because such military already know how to handle Western weapons.
