Special operation Zmiiny: SOF showed exclusive footage of the landing on the island

Special operations forces have released details of the Zmiiny special operation. They told how they installed the Ukrainian flag on the liberated island.
– On the night of July 7, combat swimmers of the 73rd naval center of special operations named after of the basket chief Antin Golovaty of the SOF of Ukraine. With the help of special equipment, they surveyed the coastal zone for the presence of anti-submarine and anti-landing mines. After establishing a passage for the boats of the main group, they gave a signal to continue the operation, the military said.
First, engineers descended on the island, clearing the passage from mine barriers and traps for the rest of the group.
The rest of the group went to the plateau and began to perform another part of the tasks – surveying the area, recording and collecting data on the enemy’s equipment, weapons and material and technical means of the enemy brought to Zmiiny.
Then they installed Ukrainian flags in different parts of the island. The flag of the 73rd special purpose center of the Special Operations Forces was also installed.
When the Ukrainian defenders were carrying out their tasks, the Russian vessels began maneuvering in the direction of Zmiiny. Having completed the task, the assembled group left the island. After that, the Russians launched a missile attack on Zmiiny, hitting the pier. A group of Ukrainian soldiers returned to the base unscathed.
According to the military, the command of the 73rd Separate Naval Special Purpose Center worked on the planning and management of the operation. The fighters of the center made up the main part of the consolidated group.
We will remind that on June 30, Ukrainian defenders forced the Russian invaders to leave the Zmiiny Island.
