In Russia, they are working on the issue of joining the already captured Ukrainian territories to the Russian Federation.
Vadym Skibitsky, a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, told about this on the air of the telethon.
According to him, the occupiers did not manage to fully capture Ukraine, so they now want to annex what they have already conquered at the legislative level.
How such a connection should take place will be seen later.
– We have information that the legislative body of the Russian Federation, the government, and other structures are currently actively working on all issues related to the possible integration of the temporarily occupied territories into the Russian Federation – politically, economically, and territorially. How it will happen, we will see closer to autumn. September 11 is the only voting day – said Vadym Skibitsky.
According to the intelligence, the activities carried out by the occupiers in the Donetsk, Kherson, and Luhansk regions indicate preparations for the so-called referendums.
In addition, the Russian Federation is preparing to legislatively simplify the procedure for obtaining citizenship or joining the territory to Russia.
Earlier, the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense Kyrylo Budanov said that the Russian Federation is preparing to hold so-called referendums on September 11 in the temporarily occupied territories in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.
The Russian occupiers can use the personal data of voters to organize a so-called referendum.
