Three bulkers with Ukrainian grain left the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk

According to the Istanbul agreements on the export of Ukrainian grain, three bulk carriers NAVI STAR, ROJEN and POLARNET left the port of Odesa and Chornomorsk.
The American ship and the Turkish ships are transporting a total of 57 thousand tons of Ukrainian corn, which is going to Turkey, Great Britain and Ireland.
Today’s caravan resumed shipping from the port of Chornomorsk.
– We expect that the security guarantees of our partners from the UN and Turkey will continue to work, and the export of food from our ports will become stable and predictable for all market participants. To do this, we plan to ensure the ability of the ports to handle more than 100 ships per month, – Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Mustafa Nayуem wrote on his official Telegram page.
He also noted that although the “grain corridor” has already started to work, the goal of Ukraine is the full operation of the ports in both directions.
– We receive applications from shipowners who are ready to enter our ports for loading, and the first event is expected tomorrow. Our goal is to export 3 or more million tons of agricultural products every month from the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Pivdenny. Such steps are necessary not only for the Ukrainian economy, but also for the world. The sooner we manage to export 20 million tons of last year’s harvest and start exporting the new one, the faster the food situation in the world will improve, – he added.
We will remind that on July 22 in Istanbul with the participation of the UN, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine, two documents were signed on the creation of a corridor for the export of grain from three ports in Ukraine – Chornomorsk, Odesa and Pivdenny.
On August 1, the ship Razoni with 27,000 tons of corn left the port of Odesa, it sails under the flag of Sierra Leone and is now heading to Lebanon.
