The Russian occupiers were able to capture only the outskirts of Pisky – ISW
Russian occupying forces were unable to enter Pisky in Donetsk region.
This is reported by analysts of the American Institute for the Study of War.
Earlier, the Russians declared that they fully control the Pisky , but the Ukrainian side denied these claims.
According to the Institute, geolocation footage of soldiers of the terrorist “Donetsk People’s Republic” in Pisky indicate that Russian troops probably control only the southeastern outskirts of Pisky.

In addition, the occupying forces attacked the defense lines of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the city of Avdiyivka-Donetsk on August 6. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Russian troops unsuccessfully tried to break through the Ukrainian defenses north of the city of Donetsk – Spartak – Avdiivka, Novoselivka Druga – Krasnohorivka, Lozove – Nevelske.
Russian troops also tried to advance west from their positions near Oleksandrivka towards Maryinka, about 5 km west of the Petrovsky district of Donetsk.
On August 4, the General Staff reported that the occupiers had made another attempt at offensive actions in the Piskу area, but without success.
