The greater Russia’s losses, the sooner the war will end – Zelenskyу
The more losses Russia suffers in aggression against Ukraine, the sooner the war will end.
This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyу during his evening address on August 10.
– The Armed Forces of Ukraine, our intelligence and our law enforcement agencies will not leave today’s Russian shelling of Dnipropetrovsk region unanswered. 13 people died as a result of the occupiers’ attack on Marhanets. More than 10 people were injured, five are in serious condition. Russian troops were beaten by Grads, – the president said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyу called it another manifestation of Russian terror, like the strikes on Mykolaiv and Kharkiv. According to the president, this once again proves that it is necessary to increase military aid to Ukraine.
– The more powerful our weapons will be and the greater the range of their use, the sooner this cruel war will end. This is the second thing I wanted to say today. This is a question that worries absolutely everyone: when will the war end. Some say months, some say a year, some say more. But the question of time directly depends on the question of losses. Аbout the losses that Russia will suffer, – the president said.
According to him, the more losses the occupiers have, the sooner Ukraine will be able to free its land and guarantee its security.
– If almost 43,000 dead Russian soldiers do not convince the Russian leadership that they need to find a way out of the war, then more fighting is needed, more results are needed. To convince, – he said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the occupiers had lost 10 warplanes in the past day alone: nine in Crimea and one more in the Zaporozhzhia direction. In addition, the enemy has new losses among armored vehicles, warehouses with ammunition and among logistics routes, the head of state said.
The President added that the conference at the level of defense ministers of Ukraine’s partner states will start work tomorrow in Copenhagen. It will discuss further support of Ukraine in this war, in particular with weapons.
– I am grateful to all our partners who understand that only by ensuring Russia’s defeat on the battlefield, only by Russian losses – military, political, economic – can the return of security for Ukraine and all of Europe be brought closer. The more weapons Ukraine receives, the more military-technical and financial support, the sooner our people and all Europeans will be able to feel the peace and stability of life again, – said the president.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the estimated losses of Russia in the war against Ukraine as of the morning of August 10 reached 42,800 soldiers, in particular, 160 occupying were eliminated in the last day. Most of them are in the Donetsk direction.
