SBU arrested Russian spy who tried to become double agent
SBU CI detained Russian FSB agent in Luhansk region.
The woman pretended to be a Ukrainian patriot and tried to gain the trust of the SBU. At the same time, she was performing tasks of Russian special services and collecting data about the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Luhansk region. She passed the received information to the Russian curator, identified by the SBU.
The SBU established that in 2019 the woman was recruited by the so-called MGB of the LNR controlled by Russia and disrupted the plans of the Russian spy and her bosses.
The occupants’ accomplice was detained and notified of being suspected of high treason. The court chose custody as a measure of restraint.
To recap, the SBU detained a saboteur who was preparing explosions on the Odesa railway.
