France will provide Ukraine with six more Caesar air defense systems in the coming weeks – Ministry of Defense
In the coming weeks, the French authorities are planning to transfer six more Caesar air defense systems to Ukraine.
This was stated on the air of LCI by French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecarnu.
He also noted that this is the equipment that French President Emmanuel Macron promised to transfer to Ukraine as part of military assistance.
– We will deliver them in the coming weeks. So far, we have delivered other types of artillery of the previous generation – TRF1 howitzers,” Lekarniu said.
The French Minister emphasized that Paris would fulfill its promise to send 24 Caesar howitzers to Ukraine and stated that military assistance to Ukraine does not make France a party to the war.
In late October, France announced its readiness to increase military support to Ukraine as soon as possible, in particular by supplying air defense systems to protect civilians from attacks by the Russian army.
