Six settlements liberated in Kherson sector over the last day – Zaluzhnyi

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi informed that over the last day the Defense Forces advanced by 7 km in the Kherson direction, liberating six settlements.
– In the Kherson sector, since October 1, our troops have advanced up to 36.5 km into the depth of the enemy’s defenses, the total area of the regained territory is 1,381 square kilometers, control over 41 settlements has been restored. Over the past day alone, in the Petropavlivka – Novoraysk direction, the units of the Defense Forces advanced by 7 km, took control of six settlements, returned up to 107 square kilometers of territory to Ukraine, – he specified.
According to him, in the Pervomaiske-Kherson direction the Ukrainian Armed Forces also advanced by 7 km and regained control over six settlements with a total area of 157 square kilometers.
Earlier, the General Staff stated that the probable withdrawal of Russians from Kherson is the result of active actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, just as it was in Kyiv and Kharkiv regions, on the Snake Island.
At the same time, they neither confirmed nor denied the withdrawal of the occupiers, stressing that the offensive operation continues according to plan.
