Russia deployed additional aircrafts to Engels: Ignat assessed the likelihood of new missile strikes
Russia has deployed additional bombers to the Engels airfield in Saratov region, which may indicate the preparation of a new strike on Ukraine, in particular, the expansion of the directions of these strikes.
This was stated by the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ignat during a telethon.
– The situation with the expectation of new missile strikes has not changed, because the enemy’s intentions are also unchanged. Thus, additional aircrafts have appeared at the Engels airfield. This indicates that perhaps there is some rotation, perhaps they want to increase the directions of strikes. Here we need to proceed not from the planes, but from the missiles that we count every day – how many are left, – he stressed.
According to him, there are not so many missiles that can launch strategic bombers.
Ignat reminded about the infographic from the Ministry of Defense – these are Kalibr, X-101, X-555 and Iskanders.
– Theoretically, if we take high-precision missiles, there may be three or four more such strikes, – the military added.
On Tuesday, November 29, the Russian Federation raised its combat aircraft, but did not launch another missile strike on the territory of Ukraine.
Advisor to the Office of the President Oleksiy Arestovych believes that this way the enemy could reconnoiter the positions of Ukrainian air defense systems or simply conduct training flights.
