By the end of 2022, the World Bank will allocate an additional $1.7 billion to Ukraine

By the end of this year, the World Bank plans to allocate another $1.7 billion to Ukraine.

This figure was announced in an interview by Anna Bjerde, Vice President of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia.

– According to our estimates, by the end of 2022 we will allocate another 1.7 billion US dollars. The rest of the funds will be allocated at the beginning of next year, – she said.

According to Bjerde’s calculations, in total, more than 50% of all economic aid given to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war has been channeled through the World Bank.

We will remind that on November 22, the World Bank provided Ukraine with additional financing in the total amount of $60 million.
